Bonnie Shappy’s practice is focused on litigation in both the civil and administrative fields. She represents and advises clients in all aspects of civil litigation. Her primary clients are defendants, either insurance carriers, policyholders, businesses or employers. She also has a broad general civil practice offering a variety of litigation and transactional services to her clients. She regularly appears in State and Federal Court, as well as before the Vermont Department of Labor.

Bonnie is admitted to the Vermont Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the District of Vermont, and the New Hampshire Supreme Court.

Bonnie served as a Windsor County Partner for several years acting as a mentor and role model for youths to develop self-confidence, respect and communication skills. Bonnie serves on the Board of the Inns of Court, Sterry Waterman Chapter, which promotes professionalism, skills and ethics of the judicial community within the Southern and mid-state regions of Vermont.

Personal
Bonnie enjoys outdoor sports such as snowshoeing, hiking, canoeing, gardening and snowboarding. She is an avid runner, both competitive and recreational, competing in at least two marathons and numerous smaller races annually. She also is a certified Spinning® instructor and teaches spinning at a local health club. She lives in Woodstock with her husband, Erik.
